Early-stage founders in Europe earn €30-50k a year

Hi, I’m Sergey Osipov @s_osipov, cofounder of Placy (AI real estate agent). Launched about 20 startups and had some exits, including a unicorn IPO. Sharing here my observations and tips for AI founders. Join! #AI #Startup #PropTech

As you get more investment, you can increase your salary. But even on the Series A round, your fix will only be around €120k gross. Not much for 1/3 of heroes that survive to the Series A, right? Many of us could earn triple that at big corps!

So, if you plan to leave your good full-time job for a startup, be prepared to earn a third of your current salary in the upcoming years. Research about this. And yep, 😇Placy’s founders’ salaries are in that range too—nothing to write home about

Still wanna be a founder in Europe? 😊

What about stocks? If you succeed, it will cost much more than 50 thousand.

Correct, the only hope is to create a unicorn. Otherwise, you are sacrificing your best years for a low salary 🙂

Mostly agree! Reasons Startups Die: 1. Lack of Market Need: 42% 2. Running Out of Cash: 29% 3. Team Issues: 23% Regarding Salary this is true for companies aiming for investable growth rather than profitable growth. There’s always a way to be profitable, earn money, and grow because of that, which will raise the company’s capitalization the most—especially in the current market conditions. 80% of companies die within 2 years. So, my best advice for founders: focus on profit, and you will get your desired salary and capitalization. 😉
