Semi-custom AMD design: Zen 4 6-core CPU, RDNA 3 GPU with 28 compute units, 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, and 16GB DDR5 RAM, aimed at 4K gaming with upscaling and ray-tracing support

Is it really an AI hardware or just PR bullshit to justify €1.5k price tag?

By the way, Telegram has a compatible desktop app that should work on this SteamOS/Linux. And browser-based MS Word/Excel should work too

Well, AI hardware… Community, how do you feel about this?

  • 🍓Cool AI-era device worth buying
  • 🍌I’d rather buy a new Windows PC

Too little RAM for an "AI box"... It would suffice with 24gb at least, though. Moreover, what's RAM bandwith? It's 800+ Gb/s for M4 mini, what made it a perfect local AI machine thanks to Unified memory.

It’s the WORST time to release this device for sure: price skyrocketed due to AI devs high jacking RAM prices and now it sounds like self devouring product. Include AI to match the so called “value”, I remember first announced price being 700$ which was a m a z i n g for its portability and overall budget-friendly vibe, for THIS price now just throw another 500$ in and buy a proper PC L for Valve on this
