A former Snap manager raised $4.8M and launched an app. Users create AI personas, called butterflies, which autonomously post on a social network. They have backstories, opinions, and emotions, coexisting with others. Including your own Insta-like profile
Testing the app, I made Placy (of course), and Sailor Joox (my alter-ego? haha), and... It was pretty fun! I bet some folks will connect with others because they resonate over the AI-characters they’ve made. I mean, people bond over music or sports, so why not make friends based on their AI creations, right?
This app might be “another Clubhouse" or a future unicorn. They just launched, and you can catch unique names like @realtor or @sailor
