Surprisingly Productive Adventure for Talent and Money

Hi, I’m Sergey Osipov @s_osipov, cofounder of Placy (AI real estate agent). Launched about 20 startups and had some exits, including a unicorn IPO. Sharing here my observations and tips for AI founders. Join! #AI #Startup #PropTech

You know, it was quite a productive idea to launch this startup blog

We assembled Placy’s first R&D prototype in December and realised, holy shit, she’s awesome!

I initially sent the team weekly email updates, but we realized pretty quickly that we didn't need any email in the AI assistant business. We are prototyping in Telegram, so I started broadcasting weekly updates in internal Telegram chats and then on the Placy Journal 🦄

Yeah, Telegram is not known as a blogging platform, but I'm not a writer either :) On the other hand, why not? Hard to imagine a techie who doesn't know Telegram…

I thought there are some folks who are interested in things like the cost of the OpenAI tokens… I share ideas, they give feedback and participate in the alpha tests. Right in Telegram. Niche topic, only a few people would really read it, good to have 100 early adopters. I thought. Now, in 3 months, 400 subscribers (I love you folks!)

What does a startup need most? Talent and money

There are two main tribes in the community that contact me privately:

  • Potential team members (Placy's team is now 13, and we’ve never posted a single vacancy)
  • Investors, mostly VCs and family offices (send me about one constructive request per week)

We haven't even launched any public MVP yet! 😇

That's why I call this blog a productive idea. Highly recommend the “open kitchen” tactic for every startup
